- Emergency situations (broken bones, significant bleeding, heart attack, suicidal thinking)
- Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) – prescription refills are available for some conditions
- Urinary tract infections in males of all ages
- Urinary tract infections in females under 18 years of age
- Children under three months of age with a fever
- Eye issues in children under 12
- Ear pain in children under three. Depending on patient age and the clinical history, patients may be advised to seek in-person care
- Emergency or crisis situations (suicidal or homicidal thinking, self-harm, or risk of harm to others)
- ADHD prescription of stimulant (therapy and non-stimulant med management are in scope)
- Active psychosis (hallucinations or delusions)
- Substance use in active medical detox
- Moderate to severe autism spectrum disorders
- Children under the age of 10
- Any condition or combination of mental health conditions that prohibit the ability to perform
- normal day-to-day activities
MEDICATIONS WE ARE UNABLE TO PRESCRIBE
- DEA-controlled medications (including ADHD stimulant
medications and anti-anxiety benzodiazepines) - Lifestyle medication (medications for
erectile dysfunction (ED), hair loss, or weight loss) - Detox medications (e.g., Suboxone, Methadone)
- Medications intended for intramuscular injections
- Medications that require regular lab work and
monitoring when lab work is not present for review
during the virtual visit - Medications that have the potential for abuse
(e.g., pseudoephedrine, some muscle relaxants*) - Sleep medications
- Medicinal marijuana
